News from cooperated institutions: Artist Residencies gathering in TOKYO! Res Artis General Meeting 2012 TOKYO

Artist Residencies are drawing attention as cultural institutions these days.
We are pleased to inform that Artist Residencies international conference, Res Artis General Meeting 2012 TOKYO will be held in the autumn of 2012.
Res Artis is a worldwide network of artist residencies, established in 1993, organizing international general meetings once every two years in different locations throughout the world. Res Artis General Meeting 2012 TOKYO, held in Asia for the first time in 14 years, focuses on Asia itself, which today is becoming a vibrant and essential international hub. Residencies not only allow artists to create work, they also serve as a vital platform for exchange, enabling art centers themselves to be at the center of international dialogue and collaborations among museums, biennales, universities and municipalities throughout the world.
This will be a great opportunity to think about the future of artist residencies and dive into the current of a trans-national flow.
