Purpose of the residency
I will be making a stop motion animation that explores the idea of physical space and emotional residue, called Paper Ghosts. This is a multipart work incorporating animated video, photography and visual installation where transient private moments are manifested physically in public spaces in densly populated places.
Plan during the residency
- observe interactions in particular places, and talk to local people about their personal experiences in public spaces to draw inspiration for the animations recruit and interview people
- collect materials & find recruit volunteers
- begin animations
- edit and complete and present
