Purpose of the residency
I am visiting Tokyo Wondersite to conduct research into the possible technologies of printing and immaterial culture in Japan. I am interested also in the experimental nature of contemporary Japanese photography, and in how photography was used experimentally by artists of the Mono-Ha and Provoke movements.
Plan during the residency
I intend to carry out research relating to my writing, my own art practice, and to develop my knowledge further in the practice of other artists during the residency. In particular, I am looking to work with local printers to explore ways of printing.
