TOKAS Residency

We have organized artist-in-residency programs since 2006 for Japanese and international creators to stay, create art work and conduct research. Relocated in Tatekawa, Sumida in autumn 2014, TOKAS Residency has operated four programs, the Exchange Residency Program, International Creator Residency Program, Institutional Recommendation Program, and Research Residency Program. Artists from all around the world stay at TOKAS Residency to conduct artistic activities and share creative ideas. TOKAS' Exchange Residency Program provides opportunities for talented Japanese artists to work and research abroad. TOKAS Residency organizes diverse activities including Open Studio and talk events as a platform generating active communication and interactions.
