Purpose of the residency
Research and photographing for works in Tokyo.
Plan during the residency
Boris Mikhailov is a Ukrainian photographer now living in Berlin. He has been taking photos even under the rule of the Soviet Union, when it was difficult to freely take photographs. His work become famous after Perestroika, he won the Swedish Hasselblad Foundation International Award in Photography in 2000, and he serves as a professor at Harvard University (USA).
