Purpose of the residency
Born in Seoul, Korea in 1975, she graduated from the Royal College of Art, London.
She plays with ideas of permanence and transience - capturing the fleeting and embodying experience. Her works draw on the mundane - people, objects, places - from which she teases out the extraordinary, creating art that possesses a very human, organic beauty.
She has exhibited at vaious galleries including Riflemaker Gallery, London (2007); Cornerhouse, (2006); La Bank, Paris (2006); Sundown Salon, Los Angeles (2005).
She will exhibit at Riflemaker, London (September - October 2008), Somerset House, London (October 2008), and Galleri Opdahl, Norway (October 2008).
She lives and works in London.
