Purpose of the residency

Through my time at TWS residency program, I plan to update my studio practice with full concentration. I am looking forward to meet diverse people with various backgrounds, and develop my thinking process via fruitful dialogue with the others. Aside from my central practice using moving images, I am also willing to take this opportunity to explore various possibilities and media. By making use of TWS as a central site for exchanging ideas, I hope my final work to reflect the result of international discourse.

Plan during the residency

・Develop studio practice and explore methodology
・Practice presentation skills (both Japanese and English)
・Collect narrative elements by interviewing fellow residents
・Exercise in collaborative and/or improvisational approach of making
・Become active in networking the resident artists and Tokyo creators
・Research other residencies and artists using TWS library
