Purpose of the residency

Marc Pallain develops a look and an original approach on images and art. His artistic work is based on the serial editing of abstract or non-abstract photography's.
He collects the substrates from urban or natural spaces and this production then becomes the raw material of lively compositions that shift the audience look.
Marc Pallain reveals something of an emotion, a sensibility, that makes us closer from Mother Earth; but not only, it is also a reference to our human condition, intimately linked to the passing time and past.
The abstractive approach of this artist permits him to make beauty in order that we are related to it, and invite us to reconsider our daily surroundings tenderly, carefully, and with respect for builders.
Make the buried fabrics in the routes and the work of human beings appear, make the intelligence of the time curves, life geometries, the fractality of the intimate materials emerge, the one which is only wave and energy, the one that make us, erodes us and shatters us.

Plan during the residency

ArtXperiences is an artistic collaboration and our project is bound to the photographic, video graphic glance and the artistic acts which we shall concern the situation in Japan after the tsunami and the nuclear disaster of March 2001. We shall become attached to their impact on the geographical and urban space of the concerned zones and which extends also in the region of Tokyo and its inhabitants.
This project has several components:
The very plastic first one thanks to a photographic work that will attempt to stage the quoted diverse impacts,
The second science-based will attempt to stage experiments (reflections and exchanges led beforehand with recognized scientists).
Some of these experiments will be poetically handled, a system of print of the radioactivity on the x-ray film will visually testify of this phenomenon and sound tracks also.
