Purpose of the residency
The main purpose of my participation in the program is to connect with both Japanese and foreign artists on both a social and professional level. The length of the stay gives an opportunity to keep an ongoing dialogue throughout art making process during my residency period. Also, I am curious to get feedback on my art both from TWS artists and from the general TWS audience. My hope is that the exchange of ideas and visions will help me generate better project both at TWS and in the future.
Plan during the residency
My plan is to research different ways of combining mirrors and video projection in space. I will drill holes in the mirror glass using a Dremmel tool with a diamond bit. The pieces will be linked together using small metal plates and screws. Random fragmented video layers will be generated through the Max MSP computer program.
