Purpose of the residency
DP1 Project is dedicated to japan society. Our goal is to create a contemporary performance - about two people dealing with their presence in an extremely sensitive, ambitious, traditional and modern country. We're interested in creating a bridge between us - people from safe, spacy, chaotic east-middle Europe and Japanese - live on shaking crowded island with kind of amazing state of being still.
Plan during the residency
We're going to create our own MAP OF TOKYO by traveling through the city and making slow motion movies, recording sounds, observing human steps and rythm of the city. Then we're going to transform it to our artistic language - into the body, voice, guitar sounds and video. We'd like to work with Japanese artists - dancers, musicians, visual artists - in the studio to make our work more reach and truthful.
