Purpose of the residency

This time, I am going to spend most of my time in the studio in the university. You may think, there is no necessary to come to London if I stay in just in the studio. As an artist, I will try to visualize a drama written by Elfriede Jelinek, who is an Austrian playwright and novelist (She was awarded the Novel Prize in Literature in 2004). Jelinek wrote the trilogy as a response to 3.11 earthquake, Tohoku, Japan. I will try to interpret her text "Prologue" and make a new work, which will be showed at Festival Tokyo, which is the biggest performing arts festival in Japan. Jelinek wrote her drama with strong feeling faraway from Fukushima, So I also put myself faraway from Japan and concentrate to create a work with objectively viewpoint.
