Graduated from a Master of Fine Arts (Research) from the University of New South Wales, Sydney in 2007, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours first class) from the University of Tasmania in 2003.

About works / performance

Michaela Gleave is a Sydney-based artist, whose work has been exhibited extensively across Australia, as well as in Germany, Austria, Hong Kong, Korea and Mexico. She has participated in residency programs in Berlin, Iceland and regional Australia, and was artist-in-residence with the CSIRO's Astronomy and Space Science Division during 2012/13. Gleave has won numerous grants and prizes, including a Creative Australia Fellowship from the Australia Council for the Arts, a Marten Bequest Travelling Scholarship, Australia Council for the Arts New Work Grants (emerging and established), as well as being a finalist in the Helen Lempriere Travelling Art Scholarship, the SOYA Awards, and the Redlands, Hazelhurst and Maddock's Art Prizes among others. Michaela Gleave is represented by Anna Pappas Gallery, Melbourne.
