About works

His recent work teases the boundaries between painting and sculpture to explore personal and cultural relationships to the natural world. Using rubber molds cast from natural plants and geology in his immediate environment, he creates building blocks for compositions that fuse dimensional forms with a painter’s vocabulary of color and illusionistic depth.
