Profile
Maya Hewitt studied Fine Art Painting at the University of Brighton. During her time there,
she studied abroad in Japan at the Nagoya University of Art in 2003. After graduating,
she has had two solo shows, one of which was held at the Bischoff/Weiss gallery in London. She has exhibited her work at art fairs in London, Tokyo, and in America and Europe, and is a member of artist-run residency programs.
About works / performance
Painted large scale floor-to-ceiling installations alter the space in which they are exhibited. Drawing, collages, works on paper, 3d sculpture exhibited together as one piece, all-encompassing whole installations.
