KAWAMATA Tadashi

Born in 1953 in Hokkaido, Japan, Tadashi Kawamata is an artist who actively works and makes shows internationally. He is known for his "works in progress," which are projects of his that he produces on-site. He served as Chair of Intermedia Art at Tokyo University of the Arts from 1999 to 2005, and was the Artistic Director of Yokohama Triennale 2005.
