Purpose of the residency

In "Koganecho Bazaar" in which I participated in the fall of 2009, I stayed in Koganecho in Yokohama city, once known for the spread of drugs and prostitution, and explored the new dimensions of the public space. The experience showed me a new potential that I should concentrate on within the contexts of the local community. In the current residency abroad, I aim to seek new ways of communication by creating my works that involve Taipei city, which is also known for its complex history.
