Purpose of the residency

Within this program I aim to work on〈25h Convenience Store〉, a curatorial and performative platform operating across online and offline spaces.
Through a series of "instant" short video performances with local artists, it explores the value and temporality of performance, and the tension between liveness and reproducibility within accelerated cultural consumption.
Rooted in improvisation and instinct, the works expose repetition, failure, disorder, awkwardness, and play as artistic objects.
Inspired by snack culture, endless scrolling, and the visual language of the global supermarket, the project investigates accessibility, provocation, and an aesthetics of imperfection while questioning how performance can circulate indefinitely in contemporary society.

Plan during the residency

• Before and during the residency: contact local artists and initiate research through discussions around the project.
• Explore different spaces with the artists I would like to collaborate with on the video project.
• Experiment individually and collectively in front of the camera to explore which practices and images can emerge.
• Explore video editing and research references related to streaming aesthetics.
  
• Personally, reflect on a performative form through the ritual of everyday life around costume.
