About works

Delos Reyes's background in qualitative research and training in performance art practice and theory informs the multidisciplinary nature of her current practice. In her curatorial practice, she constantly rethinks how exhibitions can be a space of discourse and generate social impact through storytelling, and how curating can be a playful and experimental practice. In her writing, she thinks about how sharing personal narratives can generate understanding and empathy. As a migrant Filipino herself, she is most interested in narratives around the migration and diaspora, and of ideas around de-Westernizing and de-colonizing the brown body. As a cultural producer and activist, she runs a Filipino art collective with artist Augustine Paredes called Sa Tahanan Co. The collective was founded in 2020 to create an inclusive platform for Filipino artists and to function as a bridge between arts institutions and Filipino talent.
