About curation

My curatorial practice revolves around sound as a catalyst for collective experience, critical thinking, and aesthetic experimentation. Across experimental music festivals, concerts, records and sound art exhibitions, I explore how sonic practices intersect with politics, technology, spatiality, and contemporary art. I’m particularly interested in sound as both a form of architecture and a tool for social transformation. Brazil is culturally vibrant yet often marked by conservative structures. I see curating not simply as a profession but as a long-term commitment to challenging the status quo by championing new artists, genres, spaces, and languages, while dissolving the boundaries between music and visual art, underground and institutional contexts, and between practices historically pushed to the margins and those accepted at the center.
