Born in 1972. Graduated from Art Academy Basel in 1997.

In the past years Franziska Furter was involved in several residency programs (Edinburgh, Scotland; Berlin, Germany; London, UK; Paris, France; Cairo, Egypt; Andratx, Mallorca), had numerous solo and group shows and talks in Europe and abroad. Amongst others she received the grant of Kuratorium Aargau and Alexander Clavel Stiftung, Riehen and was invited for the Publication Collection Cahier d'Artistes of Pro Helvetia, Switzerland. She now lives and works in Basel and Berlin.
