About works / performance
The March 11 disaster fundamentally changed our world. Seeking a medium for how best to tackle the theme of how to face the post-3.11 world, I, in 2011, created a video documenting and featuring interviews about the creation of a commemorative retirement art exhibition, focused on recovering from "Internal Desolation" by an artist and university professor affected by the disaster. I will expand this project from an individual level to a more global scope as I examine the world-changing experience of Chernobyl, which predated Fukushima by 25 years, and how it affected the lives and moral worldviews of Germans.
