Born in 1987. Graduated from New York University, (Master of Arts, Museum Studies) in 2012.

Chris Romero is a curator interested in media art, photography, animation, the Internet, and digital culture. In September 2015 he organized the first Internet Yami-Ichi in New York with Japanese Internet art collective IDPW. As a curator, he has worked with international artists including Daniel Canogar, Exonemo, and Rafael Lozano-Hemmer. His exhibitions have been featured throughout New York and highlighted in The New York Times, The Huffington Post, and Hyperallergic.

In the past he has worked at institutions in New York including the Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of the Moving Image. While attending New York University his research focused on the curation and conservation of time-based media, specifically Chinese artist Feng Mengbo's interactive installation "Long March: Restart".

Currently he is working on a second Internet Yami-Ichi in New York and will also attend 3331 Arts Chiyoda's residency program from October 4 to November 28.
