His work was most recently featured in the exhibitions 'Uturn' at Glendale Art College Los Angeles and 'The Vernacular Terrain' at Queensland University of Technology and ZAIM Art Space Yokohama.

In 2007 his work was also seen in the highly lauded site-specific exhibition 'Relentless Optimism' at the Carlton Hotel boutique Melbourne. In 2006 he was commissioned to make new works for the prestigious 'Anne Landa Award', for video and new media arts, at the Art Gallery of New South Wales as well as new commissions for the offices of UBS Melbourne and the public art project, 'Terminus Projects' at The Worlds Square, Sydney.

His work has been featured in the large scale survey exhibitions 'A Short ride in a fast machine', the 20-year anniversary exhibition of Gertrude Contemporary Art Spaces, Melbourne, 'I Thought I Knew But I Was Wrong - New Video Art from Australia' which toured extensively throughout Asia and '2004 - Visual Culture Now' at the National Gallery of Victoria and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image, Melbourne.

In 2005 he was included in 'NEW 05', the third edition of the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art's annual showcase exhibition focusing on new work by outstanding contemporary artists.

James Lynch is a very active figure in the Australaian art scene, he founded  the ground breaking collaborative group DAMP (リンク:http://www.uplandsgallery.com/) and is a contributing editor of Natural Selection magazine (リンク:www.naturalselection.org.nz) His work has been reviewed and featured in Art and Australia, Art/text, Flash Art and Frieze magazines. He is represented by Uplands Gallery Melbourne and Galerie Frank Elbaz Paris.
