Davy van Gerven’s artistic activity is the creation of scenographies that translate literary, musical, or conceptual material into spatial interventions. He approaches space as a medium for connection. With his work he emphasizes interaction and dialogue: rather than illustrating a story, the scenography establishes conditions for encounter and shared experience. Each project explores how spatial composition can shape perception, heighten awareness, and foster collectivity. Through his practice, he seeks to expand theatre into a dynamic field of research and exchange, where space becomes a site of meaning.
